Life is messy on a normal day.
This week it got even messier – people were dropping like flies in my house. From vomiting, the ‘d’ word to sore throats – we had it all.
On one day we had 4 people home sick from varsity and work.
My Psalm for the year – Psalm 46 – can you read it here – talks about how messy life is going to get in the Last Days.
It talks about…
…the earth giving way – Earthquakes
…mountains moving & trembling -Volcanoes
…waters roar and foam – Tsunamis
…nations raging – War
…kingdoms totter- Arab Spring
Extreme messiness.
What is God’s solution?
Don’t fight the mess in the world.
Recognise your need to connect with something bigger than this world.
Come, behold the works of the Lord – Psalm 46:8
Instead of stressing about the mess – look for God working.
Instead of fearing the worst – Be still and know that He is God (Psalm 47:10)
Dear God
Help me to see you in the mess.
Still my heart and mind so that I may focus on you.
Help me not to fear or be in stress today.
in the name of Jesus, amen so be it
I would love to hear how you discover God in your messy real everyday life too
Have you seen God at work today?
